Nikon Z5 .. A new camera from Nikon for beginners

Nikon has announced its new entry-level camera, the Nikon Z5. After the Japanese company released its full-frame mirrorless cameras the Nikon Z7 and Nikon Z6 last year, the Nikon Z5 expands the range to a lower price point.

Unlike the Nikon Z50, which used the same Z-mount lens but included a smaller APS-C sensor, the new camera uses a 24-megapixel full-frame sensor and is compatible with Nikon's Z-series lenses.

There are many differences between (Nikon Z5), (Nikon Z7) and (Nikon Z6), as there is no screen for the case, the design uses more plastic, the sensor is not backlit, and it is not ideal for 4K videos due to the 1.7x crop.

But there are elements such as: an electronic viewfinder with 3.69 million dots, a 3.2-inch tilting touch screen, an Expeed 6 processor, an in-body image stabilization system, and a hybrid autofocus system.

The new camera is aimed at beginners or owners of Nikon DX DSLR cameras, and it comes with a new Nikkor Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 lens.

And unlike the Nikon Z7 and Nikon Z6, the Nikon Z5 has two UHS-II SD card slots, instead of a single XQD slot.

The card slot is an advantage for many photographers who need the ability to save backups.

The new camera can also be powered through a USB cable, which is useful if you want to shoot long time-lapse shots.

Nikon also announced a new Z-series lens, its smallest full-frame (Z-mount) lens to date.

Nikon says: The new camera will be available in August for $ 1399.95 for the body only, which makes it about $ 600 cheaper compared to the (Nikon Z6).

There's a $1,699.95 kit with a new 24-50mm f/4-6.3 lens, plus a $2199.95 option with a 24-200mm f/4-6.3 lens.

The Japanese company also plans to launch a Windows 10 utility next month that allows many DSLR and Z series cameras, including the new camera, to function as a webcam.
